From Arbaaz Khan and Arindam Chaudhuri to Anant Mahadevan and Aishwarya Narkar, they all said that receiving a National Film Award from President Pratiba Patil Friday was a "fantastic moment".

Dadasaheb Phalke award winner veteran Tamil filmmaker Balachander said it is never too late to get an award.

"I feel happy. I`m asked whether the award has come late, and I don`t think it`s ever late to get an award. Whenever it comes, it is an honour. I am inspired to do more films," he said the director of hits like "Ek Duuje Ke Liye" and "Sindhu Bhairavi".

Hindi blockbuster "Dabangg" starring Salman Khan won the best popular film award.

"It feels great and it has been a fantastic journey," Arbaaz told IANS when asked to describe the journey of his debut production "Dabangg" from box office hits to popular awards to national awards.

Arindam Chaudhuri`s production "Do Dooni Char" won the best Hindi film award and he said: "I feel lucky. Awards are an added incentive."

"We have just bought the rights of a book called `Lashkar`. It`s a best seller and I hope the film will also be a best seller. Nothing has been finalised yet, we have just started scripting," added the producer whose "The Last Lear" and "Faltu" had won national awards in different categories.

Actress Aishwarya Narkar, who is currently seen in Star Plus show "Dor" as protagonist Avni`s mother, produced "Champions", which won the best film on social issues award.

"Child labour and child education are an important issues. Government is making efforts to erase child labour but as a citizen of our country we should also do something. And that is the reason I decided to produce the film," she told IANS.

Anant Mahadevan, who has completed 30 years in showbiz, said that it had been long and tough journey and finally he got national award for his film "Mee Sindhutai Sapkal", a biopic on Sindhutai Sapkal, known as the mother of orphans.

"The degree of cinematic success I have received with `Mee Sindhutai Sapkal` is great, but the greatest has yet to come. Now I am planning to make a film on Gaur Hari Dastan, a freedom fighter," he said.

Do Dooni Chaar - Bringing Together Rishi Kapoor And Neetu Singh Was A Huge Challenge

IIPM B-School Detail

Producer Management Arindam Chaudhuri says he had approached Juhi Chawla to play Neetu Singh's character because he was not sure that the actress will agree to make a comeback with 'Do Dooni Char' after a gap of 24 years.

Neetu, who said goodbye to acting after her marriage to Rishi, plays a middle class Punjabi housewife opposite Rishi in the movie, which is due to release on 8th October.

"Rishiji was not sure whether Neetuji will agree. We approached Juhi Chawla but the actress did not want to play mother to an 18-year-old. We finally decided to go back to Neetuji and she loved the script," says Chaudhuri.

Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri, who has produced Amitabh Bachchan starer 'The Last Lear' and national award winning film 'Faltu', says bringing the couple to his film was a huge achievement.
"Neetu has always played very glamorous and elegant roles but for the first time she will be seen playing a middle class woman. In fact, all the clothes that she is wearing in the film have come from Sarojini Nagar. We have given her a complete makeover," says the producer.

Arindam Chaudhuri, who is Honorary Dean for the IIPM Center for Economic Research and Advanced Studies, says his father's life as a teacher inspired him to make the film.

"We wanted to make a film on a teacher's life. The story was developed by director Habib Faisal and me. Our parents were teachers and we have seen the limitations that they face. The film is about a family's journey from a two-wheeler to a car," he says. "It also talks about how consumerism works in a family. It is about consumerism versus family values. Somehow parents have disappeared from our cinema. The family has no role in our films today."

Asked about his next project, Prof. Arindam says he is planning to move to big budget cinema with his next venture, which will also star some known faces. "I entered Bollywood as an outsider but I have a better understanding of the market now. My next venture will have a bigger budget and some known stars but I won't compromise on the story," said Management Guru Arindam Chaudhuri.

Do Dooni Chaar (The Journey From A Scooter To A Car)

It is the story of the middle class man and his tireless endeavor in coping with the fast, new 'India Shining'. It's funny, real and heart warming. We all have our own scooter – to - car tales. We are all our own Duggal. Do Dooni Chaar makes us see the Duggal in us with the rare chance to laugh at ourselves.

The Story
When was the last time you saw something - on a window display, on Amazon.com, in the flight magazine - and told yourself,'' Someday, I'll buy that!? Santosh Duggal fights that battle almost everyday! His animated family's needs far surpass his paycheck.

Yet, they are happily managing. But, when Duggal is busy counting the notes on the first of every month, his wife, kusum doesn't miss the freshly painted neighbor's walls for Diwali, Payal steals a glance at the Farooqui uncle's car and Deepu gapes at the new iPod his friend flaunted. Until, one day arrives Phupho, Duggal's 'little' sister from Meerut.

She is here to invite them to a wedding at her in-laws and give them an ultimatum. They have to come by a car. The only problem is that the Duggals don't own a car! Phupho's solution? “Khareed lo!”. There is too much of Phupho's pride at stake to reconsider going to the wedding. So the Duggals gear up for their first big purchase in years. Santosh Desai panics and the family secretly high - fives one another.

The piggy banks are emptied. The PF is encased. A loan is applied for. Long forms are filled. New hiding places in the house are found, where everyone discreetly kept their savings. But the real battle lines are drawn within the house. The four of them can't seem to agree on anything- the car, the make, the color...Like Payal says, “Humare ghar par discussions aise hi hote hai!”. A mad journey of chaos, realizations, calculations, confrontations and bonding follows. After putting together all their resources, there is one big hole that remains to be filled. And then comes a gigantic lurking temptation. An easy way out? Will they take it? Do Dooni Chaar will bring back to your minds the memories of your own family's story.
