IIPM, as one of the management institutes of India, organized the cultural event CICERO at the IIPM campus in Mohali Phase-8.
CICERO takes its name from the Great Debater and Roman philosopher Cicero, who introduced the Romans to the chief schools of Greek Philosophy and created a Latin philosophical vocabulary. The same way Cicero is the platform for budding talent and to celebrate such enormous talent.
CICERO at Mohali campus was inaugurated by Mr.Jayanta Chakorborti, Dean, IIPM Chandigarh at Mohali Campus. The renowned schools like St.Peters, St. john, Bhawan Vidyalya, Shivalik public school etc. took part and increased the grace of the show. The eye catching parts of the event were Mr. & Miss CICERO and Choreography. Students were really very happy and enthusiastic about the event and approx 1000 students from different 22 schools participated in it. The event was started with some academic events like debate, quiz etc. and ended up with choreography and Mr. & Miss CICERO. The overall winner of the carnival was Bhawan Vidyalya and the winner of Choregraphy was Netaji Model School. The winners of Mr & Miss CICERO were Ehsas khan and Harmeet kaur from St. Soldier’s public school.
IIPM, Dean, Mr.Jayanta Chakorborti said, it was a wonderful event students enjoyed a lot and we will keep on doing these events every year. we do not only focus on academic development but also create nationwide classrooms and drive ‘Institutional Social Responsibility’ by reaching out to a large number of youth, enabling discussions on issues pertinent to the various fields, thus encouraging each student to explore and evolve, in pace with this dynamic business environment and help them- DARE TO THINK BEYOND!!
The main sponsors of the event were Janta Land Promoters Ltd., Tress Lounge, Hair Raizers, and Connect, Which was a great help for the event. Prizes worth Rs. 1 Lakh were distributed for various competitions in the event.
